After roughly six months of construction, Angkasa Prima Teknologi (APT) officially inaugurated its VSAT HUB operations office in Hambalang, Sentul, West Java, on Thursday, 2 December 2021. The ceremony was attended not only by the board of directors and commissioners of TRG Group, along with APT's directors and employees, but also by Mr. Ismail, Director General of Resources and Equipment for Post and Information Technology (SDPPI) at the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, satellite business expert Mr. Bogi Wicaksono, and prospective customers.
Before the Hambalang VSAT HUB, APT already operated HUBs co-located in a data center in Jakarta and at a mobile operator site in Banjarmasin. Both served VSAT cellular backhauling.
The commissioning of the Hambalang VSAT HUB, however, marks an important milestone: APT now independently owns, operates, and maintains end-to-end VSAT HUB services across Indonesia. It is a tangible step in APT's role of uniting Indonesia through digital progress and signal independence.
